Is there anyone you can suggest that I might enjoy following? Why?

Last month, I set to achieve some very grand but specific goals. How well did I do at attaining those goals?
Let’s see:

1. Create a newsletter for past customers and people I’ve met in public. I’ve seriously been working hard on this; my first one should publish some time this month!
2. Book at least one jewelry party and have it this month. Booked one in July, but it’s happening in August.
3. Work on booking at least 2-3 maybe even 4 more trunk shows for the rest of summer (including until September). I’ve been emailing and emailing, so I hope to hear back from places soon.
4. Getting my line into a B&M.  You can find me at The Felt Bird in Enid, OK in September!
5. Fleshing out my line and perfecting it. This is probably almost always a work in progress.
6. Create a full press kit. Still working on that. Hope to have it done sooooooon.
7. Create my website (this isn’t done by my hand, but I’m putting it up here because as a team we are accountable to each other, right baby?)  Needs to be tested, but it will be up and running THIS WEEK! HOORAY! Cannot wait for everyone to see it!! WOOT!

Now for my August goals!

Monthly Meetup Mondays: August

First, I’ll carry over what I didn’t complete in July and make it my priority.

1. Create a newsletter for past customers and people I’ve met in public.

3. Fleshing out my line and perfecting it.
4. Create a full press kit.
5. Create various mailing material.
6. Schedule some jewelry e-soirees.
7. Create my first vlog.

Welp, that’s all folks!  In other, semi-related news, the homies Cye and Ouxu over in Holland have started this awesome project called Life Ultra. Read all about it and sign up to participate. I’ve got great news!! This month my actual complete website will be launching!!!!

This is the last full month of summer this year. Didn’t really feel like summer much at all. All this rain and then random November weather sprinkled in for good measure. Or, not so good.

One of my personal goals is to try and hit the beach at least once a week.
Let’s see if I accomplish that!

I realized I’ve been seriously slacking on my only “regular” sale, 10 on the 10s so I got wise & hip to my own game. [Beating myself to the punch? Mayhaps.]

Every month I will introduce it at the beginning of the month, that way I KNOW I’ve spoken about it and you guys will have time to stalk out what you want and to get it on the 10th! I promise to keep this a regular monthly treat! 10% off absolutely everything in the shop! Brand new items, items already on sale, whatever.

The only thing this doesn’t apply to is custom orders.

@nickyofheavy A bestie through and through. She is such a ball of energy when she sings. Then she turns into this great ball of comfort as a friend. I simply adore her. Definitely one of my all time favorite voices of my generation. She’s half of the group HEAVy, and they are super talented!!

Iman Williams is this beautiful songbird hails from Montgomery Alabama and lucky for us all, was engulfed in soul from the very start.

LR: What is your most favorite thing in this world, and why?
IW:  I would say no one THING is my favorite because I don’t like to put too much into one THING, however…LOL I have a favorite person which would  be  my 2 year old son Saaid. He’s a wonderful and intelligent being containing the likes of me and his father (Kahlil). We’re both musically so naturally it’s embedded in him. He’s beat boxing already LOL

LR: That’s awesome! What words of encouragement do you give yourself?
IW:  I always tell myself that nothing can end me but me so it’s important that I do ALL I can to be a better ME whether it’s physically, mentally, emotionally, or musically.
