This is my very first entry in my i heart series.
stelabird is a fellow twitter buddy that I recently made.
I’ve had nice convo with her and I really really LOVE her plushies!
At first I noticed her affinity to owls and Yeti’s (which is a total fave!)
But now she’s been listing little birdies that are just the cutest things EVAR!
Her blog is also really cool. It let’s you in on her life as a senior in college and her growing business. I especially enjoy reading her blog because it definitely aides in giving me a sense of where all this goodness comes from.
Estela, in her own words: “I was born and raised in Enid, Oklahoma then moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma to go to college at Oklahoma State University. I started OSU as an apparel design major and that’s where I learned all my sewing techniques. I later changed my major to Apparel Merchandising and stopped sewing. Sad years. It was my boyfriend riley who encouraged me to start sewing again. When I was a junior in college I didn’t want to study for finals so I picked up some felt and thread and decided to decorate my apartment. My friends that came over and saw my felt bird creations loved them and encouraged me to sell them at boutiques. I researched how to do so and that’s how I stumbled upon etsy. It’s been heaven since 
haha dramatic! haha! So now I’ve been in business with stelabird for a year and a half!”
I asked her two questions and here’s what she had to say.
L’élephant Rose: What is your most favorite thing in the world and why?
Stelabird: I have way too many favorites in this world!! My boyfriend Riley is a favorite in this world, he rocks and is my rock. I love my sewing machine, sweets-I have a wicked sweet tooth, I don’t know what I would do without the sugary goodness.
L’élephant Rose: What words of encouragement do you give yourself? or What has someone told you that you always remind yourself of?
Stelabird: I love what I do, so that encourages me to keep going! Seeing people’s expressions to my work at craft fairs also encourages me!!
She is so on my Christmas list!
